Thanks for your posting on this blog. From my very own experience, many times softening way up a photograph could provide the photographer with a bit of an imaginative flare. Often times however, this soft cloud isn't just what exactly you had as the primary goal and can in many cases spoil an otherwise good picture, especially if you consider enlarging it.
